What would create a world war?

For a World War to exist there would need to be a disagreement between two countries or more. The disagreement would then be resolved in a war. More parties would come into the picture and join forces with either side. The war would become very violent and there would be many deaths on both sides. Today the same principles apply in the making of a World War. Although I do believe a World War is possible today, I think it is highly unlikely. The technology has changed quite a bit from the last World War and the weapons are bigger and more destructive. All countries know that starting a World War today is a death threat to all people all across the world.
